Spanish Cycling Road Race La Vuelta Comes to the Costa Blanca North

Benidorm, Calpe, Moraira, Benitachell, Teulada, Gata De Gorgos and Javea were all featured in the famous La Vuelta tour of Spain. On 30th August 2015, scooters, race cars, helicopters, cyclists, all flew through the Spanish towns and villages, causing lots of excitment. Race team gear and on looked provided colourful scenes in the hot Spanish sunshine.

The steep Cumbre Del Sol, provided the summit finish, with spectacular views of the surrounding Marina Alta, Costa Blanca North, area. Helicopter ariel shots, all along the course were fantastic, especially the Penon Ifach rock in Calpe, including the Salinas, salt lakes, with flamingoes and birds. Benitachell ariel shots, included the town, fields of Moscatell vines and the race snaking through the village. Gata De Gorgos and the mines were featured going onto Javea.

Benitachell town hosted an after party in La Plaza with many advertising tents, games, inflatables and even free drinks and a selection of pasteries, fruits, cheeses, hams, for all. Large TV screen was also in La Plaza, showing the race, well organised and policed throughout the whole event.
